SMA Al Ittihadyah is seeking a dedicated Guru Tahfidz to join our vibrant academic community. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging Qur’an memorization lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and the spiritual development goals of each student.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, including supplemental materials such as Tajweed guides, audio recordings, and interactive activities.
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide constructive feedback to both students and their families.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate Islamic studies with general education subjects, promoting a holistic learning experience.
- Organize and supervise weekly Qur’an recitation sessions, competitions, and community events that showcase student achievements.
- Offer individualized tutoring for students who require additional support, ensuring that each learner attains mastery of memorization milestones.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school-wide initiatives aimed at improving instructional quality.
- Maintain a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that adheres to the school’s code of conduct and Islamic values.
- Assist in the preparation of annual reports and documentation required by the Ministry of Education and the school’s governing board.
- Commit to continuous learning, including the development of English language proficiency to better serve a diverse student body.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) preferably in Education, Islamic Studies, or a related field.
- Age: 28 years or younger, with a strong commitment to the role’s long‑term growth.
- Marital status: Must be unmarried at the time of application, in accordance with school policy for this position.
- Religion: Must be a practicing Muslim (female or male) who exemplifies Islamic ethics and serves as a positive role model.
- Proficiency in teaching methodologies and a solid understanding of Tajweed and Qur’anic memorization techniques.
- Willingness to develop basic English language skills to enhance communication with non‑native speakers and access instructional resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Commitment to the school’s work schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
