We are seeking a dedicated Guru Tahfidz Kelas Menengah to join our esteemed Islamic school, where the mission is to nurture both academic excellence and spiritual growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding middle‑school students on the path of Qur’anic memorization (Tahfidz) while fostering a supportive, respectful, and Islamic‑centric learning environment. Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate daily Tahfidz lessons for middle‑school classes, ensuring each student progresses toward memorizing at least five Juz of the Qur’an.
- Integrate Islamic values and adab (proper conduct) into all classroom interactions, modeling exemplary behavior for students.
- Design engaging, age‑appropriate activities that reinforce Qur’anic recitation, pronunciation (tajweed), and understanding.
- Provide individualized support and remedial sessions for students who need additional guidance, maintaining a patient and encouraging demeanor.
- Collaborate closely with fellow teachers, administrators, and the school’s religious council to align curriculum with the institution’s educational philosophy.
- Monitor attendance, maintain accurate records of memorization milestones, and prepare regular progress reports for parents and school leadership.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as Qur’an competitions, memorization challenges, and community service projects.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent‑teacher conferences to continuously improve teaching practices.
- Uphold the school’s safety policies, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all learners.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to recite the Qur’an fluently with correct tajweed, and personal memorization of at least five Juz.
- Strong Islamic character, courteous communication style, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse staff members.
- Patience, perseverance, and the ability to mentor students in a compassionate, faith‑based manner.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, including occasional weekend events.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques and modern teaching aids.
- Any additional certification in Qur’anic teaching or Islamic pedagogy is an advantage.
