Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, processing cash, credit, and digital payments while ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain a tidy and organized checkout area, including regular cash drawer reconciliation and adherence to cash handling policies.
- Greet customers warmly, answer product‑related inquiries, and provide recommendations that enhance the shopping experience.
- Assist with inventory checks, stock replenishment, and merchandising displays as directed by the store manager.
- Handle customer returns, exchanges, and complaints in a courteous and solution‑focused manner, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with teammates to ensure smooth store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Participate in periodic training sessions on new promotions, product knowledge, and compliance standards.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies, suspicious activities, or potential fraud to management promptly.
- Support special events, sales campaigns, and seasonal promotions by adapting workflow and maintaining high service standards.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 30 years old; gender is open to all.
- At least one year of proven experience in a retail cashier or similar customer‑facing role.
- Excellent appearance and a friendly, polite demeanor that reflects positively on the brand.
- High integrity, disciplined work habits, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to listen actively to customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Residence within a reasonable commuting distance to the Poris Cipondoh store.
- Proficiency with standard cashier systems and basic computer literacy.
