We are currently seeking a passionate Freelance Makeup Artist who can bring fresh, versatile looks to both teenage and adult clients in a studio environment. This role offers the freedom of freelance work while providing consistent studio assignments from Monday through Saturday, allowing you to build a robust portfolio and expand your professional network.
Responsibilities
- Conduct brief consultations with models or clients to understand their desired look, skin type, and any special requirements.
- Prepare and sanitize all makeup tools and products before each session, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Apply makeup for a variety of studio shoots, ranging from natural teen styles to sophisticated adult looks, adapting techniques to lighting and camera requirements.
- Stay up‑to‑date with current beauty trends, product launches, and industry techniques to offer innovative suggestions.
- Collaborate closely with photographers, stylists, and creative directors to ensure the final visual aesthetic aligns with the project brief.
- Maintain an organized inventory of cosmetics, replacing depleted items and managing budgeted supplies.
- Provide post‑session touch‑ups as needed during extended shoot days, ensuring continuity of appearance.
- Document and archive completed looks for portfolio use, with client permission, to support future marketing efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: Must be under 30 years old at the time of application.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Experience: No minimum years required, but a demonstrated portfolio of studio work is preferred.
- Strong ability to create makeup looks for both teenage and adult clients, with a focus on studio lighting conditions.
- Currently building a freelance career or actively “merintis” (establishing) a personal brand in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in basic beauty therapy concepts and safe application techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a professional attitude towards punctuality.
- Flexibility to work Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with occasional overtime for special projects.
