This role is pivotal in bridging communication between our Indonesian operations and Mandarin‑speaking partners, ensuring seamless information flow across documentation, email correspondence, and verbal interactions. The successful candidate will not only translate but also support daily administrative tasks, contributing directly to the efficiency of our e‑commerce and logistics functions.
Responsibilities
- Translate written documents, reports, contracts, and email communications from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa with a focus on accuracy and cultural nuance.
- Provide real‑time oral interpretation during meetings, conference calls, and on‑site visits with Chinese suppliers or clients.
- Proofread and edit translated materials to maintain consistency with company terminology and branding guidelines.
- Assist senior managers as a personal assistant, managing calendars, arranging travel, and preparing presentation decks in both languages.
- Support the e‑commerce team by translating product listings, marketing copy, and customer service inquiries.
- Maintain organized filing systems for all translated documents, ensuring easy retrieval for audit and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—logistics, procurement, and finance—to clarify language‑specific requirements.
- Monitor industry news in Mandarin‑language sources and summarize key developments for internal stakeholders.
- Operate company vehicles (motorcycle or car) safely for on‑site visits, document collection, and courier tasks.
- Participate in weekly team briefings, offering insights on language‑related challenges and proposing process improvements.
Requirements
- Gender: Male
- Age: 25‑35 years (maximum 30 years preferred for this posting)
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional translation or related experience, preferably within e‑commerce, logistics, or international trade.
- Language Skills: Fluent Mandarin (both spoken and written) and native‑level Indonesian.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using translation software or CAT tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of e‑commerce platforms, product catalogues, and cross‑border trade processes.
- Personal Attributes: Initiative‑driven, detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license with ability to operate both motorcycle and car for company duties.
- Availability: Willing to work Monday‑Saturday, with a half‑day on Saturday; flexible to adjust to operational peaks.
