Introduction
We are a leading consumer‑goods distribution company operating out of Palembang and its surrounding regions. Our fast‑paced warehouse serves as the critical hub for receiving, inspecting, storing, and dispatching a wide range of products to retailers across the province. We are looking for a dedicated Petugas Pemeriksaan dan Helper Gudang who can uphold our standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency while supporting the daily flow of goods.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual and documented inspections of all incoming shipments to confirm quantity, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Verify and record receipt documentation, including packing lists, delivery notes, and customs paperwork where applicable.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks, pallets, and containers using hand trucks, forklifts (if certified), and other material‑handling equipment.
- Organize and label inventory in designated storage zones, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and easy retrieval for order fulfillment.
- Update the warehouse management system (WMS) in real time, reflecting accurate stock levels, damages, or discrepancies.
- Prepare and assemble outbound orders, cross‑checking items against pick lists before sealing and dispatching.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard‑free work environment by following safety protocols and conducting regular equipment inspections.
- Collaborate closely with drivers, procurement staff, and sales teams to resolve any issues related to shipment delays, product damage, or documentation errors.
- Generate daily and weekly reports on inventory movements, inspection findings, and any incidents, presenting them to warehouse supervisors.
- Participate in periodic stock audits and cycle counts, assisting in identifying and correcting inventory variances.
Requirements
- Male candidates, minimum age 20 years.
- Residence in Palembang or nearby districts.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably within the consumer‑goods sector.
- Demonstrated ability to work in field conditions and handle loading/unloading tasks safely.
- Core skills: barang inspection, receipt processing, inventory organization, and understanding of loading/unloading procedures.
- Strong sense of honesty, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 25 kg, stand for long periods, and operate in varying temperature conditions.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and external partners.
- Basic computer literacy for using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
