SPX Express is seeking a dynamic and motivated Shift Lead to join our growing logistics team in Batang, Central Java. This pivotal role will oversee daily courier operations, ensuring seamless coordination between warehouse activities and last‑mile delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a solid background in logistics or supply chain management, ready to thrive in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily schedules for courier pick‑up and delivery activities, aligning resources with demand forecasts.
- Supervise the end‑to‑end shipping process, monitoring pick‑up, transit, and final delivery to guarantee on‑time performance.
- Define and allocate delivery zones, optimizing routes to reduce travel time and fuel consumption.
- Oversee inbound and outbound inventory movements, coordinating closely with third‑party logistics (3PL) providers and internal couriers.
- Manage sorting operations, ensuring items are correctly categorized and staged for efficient distribution.
- Conduct regular briefings with shift teams, communicating key performance indicators (KPIs), safety protocols, and any operational changes.
- Resolve escalated issues such as delayed shipments, damaged goods, or customer complaints with a solutions‑focused approach.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all logistics activities, including shift logs, inventory counts, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with warehouse managers, procurement, and customer service to streamline processes and improve overall service quality.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics to identify bottlenecks and drive efficiency gains.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; diploma or bachelor’s degree in any field is a plus.
- 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and parcel delivery workflows.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends (Monday‑Saturday schedule, 09:30‑18:30).
- Residence in Batang or willingness to relocate to Batang, Central Java.
- Excellent leadership and team‑building abilities, with a proven track record of motivating staff.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in logistics software, spreadsheet tools, and basic data analysis.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
