Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Shoe Technician to join our fast‑growing footwear retail team in Padang. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in shoe repair, inventory management, and customer service within a dynamic store environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior technicians and store managers to ensure that every pair of shoes leaving the shop meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine shoe repairs such as stitching, sole replacement, and polishing, ensuring durability and customer satisfaction.
- Inspect incoming stock for defects, record findings in the store’s Management System, and communicate issues to the purchasing department.
- Maintain a clean, organized workbench and adhere to safety protocols for handling tools and chemicals.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate shoe care products and provide guidance on proper maintenance.
- Participate in a one‑month intensive training program covering product knowledge, repair techniques, and point‑of‑sale software.
- Collaborate with the sales team to fulfill special orders and custom modifications within agreed timelines.
- Track repair progress using the store’s tracking system and update customers on status via phone or email.
- Support inventory audits by counting and labeling shoes, shoes accessories, and repair supplies.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve repair efficiency and reduce material waste.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact politely with customers and teammates.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Willingness to undergo a one‑month training program and follow all company policies.

- Basic familiarity with store management software or a willingness to learn quickly.
