Introduction
We are seeking a motivated IT Security Staff to join our growing Information Technology and Communications department. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with a solid foundation in cybersecurity who are eager to protect the organization’s critical data assets. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Security Supervisor and other technology teams to ensure a resilient, secure, and compliant IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the IT Security Supervisor to develop, implement, and monitor security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Identify, analyze, and remediate technical security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Deploy and maintain intrusion detection and prevention systems, regularly reviewing logs for suspicious activity.
- Coordinate with other IT teams (network, server, application) to resolve cross‑functional security issues.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing to uncover potential weaknesses.
- Maintain up‑to‑date security patches on all endpoints, servers, and network devices.
- Prepare incident reports, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
- Participate in security awareness training programs and help educate staff on best practices.
- Support the continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture through research and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Adhere to scheduled work hours (Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑17:30) while being available for on‑call duties in case of critical incidents.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3 in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (S1 is preferred).
- Strong foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network security, and penetration testing techniques.
- Open to fresh graduates; however, prior experience as an IT Security Staff or internship in a security role is highly valued.
- Male candidates are preferred as per the current hiring policy.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure during incidents.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners.
