Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Supervisor – Housekeeping Operations for a leading hotel in Indonesia. Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and monitor daily housekeeping tasks for a team of room attendants, ensuring timely completion of cleaning and turnover.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to verify compliance with brand standards and report any deficiencies.
- Coordinate with the front desk, maintenance, and laundry departments to address guest requests, special requests, and urgent maintenance issues.
- Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, and place orders when stock levels fall below established thresholds.
- Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly, providing effective resolutions while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall service quality.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics such as room turnaround time, guest satisfaction scores, and staff attendance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety briefings and risk assessments.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement through regular coaching and performance reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum of D3/D4 education (or equivalent).
- At least 1 – 3 years of experience in housekeeping or related hospitality roles, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong command of English – both spoken and written – to communicate effectively with international guests and internal stakeholders.
- Guest‑oriented mindset with a proven ability to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
