Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor of Housekeeping Operations to join our dynamic hospitality team. This pivotal role ensures that our guests experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout their stay. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager, the Supervisor will lead a team of housekeeping professionals, uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, and drive continuous improvement across all guest‑facing areas. The position is full‑time, Monday through Saturday, with working hours from 08:00 to 17:00.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and motivate a crew of room attendants, public area cleaners, and support staff to achieve daily cleaning targets.
- Develop and manage detailed housekeeping schedules, ensuring optimal staff allocation for peak occupancy periods.
- Conduct regular quality‑control inspections of guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and back‑of‑house areas, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities; coordinate with the Purchasing department to reorder stock before depletion.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and infection‑control protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and chemical handling procedures.
- Train new hires on standard operating procedures, guest service etiquette, and emergency response plans.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage teams to address guest requests, resolve issues promptly, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on housekeeping performance metrics, such as room turnover time, cleanliness scores, and staff attendance.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, suggesting process refinements, technology adoption, and sustainability practices that reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Foster a positive, team‑oriented work environment that encourages open communication, accountability, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in housekeeping supervision or a related hospitality role.
- High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; further education in hospitality management is a plus.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing effective teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably English.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of responsibility with a consistently positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a target‑oriented environment, meeting and exceeding service standards.
- Proficiency in quality‑control techniques and familiarity with industry‑standard cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing guest volumes and occasional weekend or holiday shifts as operational needs dictate.
