Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Geography lessons for secondary students (Grades 7‑12) in alignment with Cambridge International and/or OxfordAQA standards.
- Develop and adapt instructional materials, including maps, GIS tools, and multimedia resources, to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Utilise Google Workspace for Education to create collaborative assignments, provide timely feedback, and maintain transparent grading records.
- Facilitate field trips, virtual excursions, and project‑based learning activities that connect classroom theory with real‑world environmental issues.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate performance trends to parents and school leadership.
- Participate in regular faculty meetings, curriculum development workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Mentor students in extracurricular geography clubs, competitions, and community outreach programmes.
- Uphold school policies, promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, and model professional conduct at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geography, Education, or a closely related field; fresh graduates with a strong academic record are welcome.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably with exposure to Cambridge International or OxfordAQA curricula.
- Proficiency in English – both spoken and written – to effectively deliver content and communicate with parents and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology, especially Google Workspace for Education, into daily instruction.
- Strong interpersonal skills: responsible, committed, creative, highly motivated, quick learner, and able to work collaboratively in a team.
- Professional demeanor with a pleasant, mature personality; adaptable to new challenges and open to continuous learning.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with GIS software, presentation tools, and online assessment platforms.
