Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Shoe‑Cleaning Technician to join our fast‑growing footwear care team. In this role you will be the front‑line specialist responsible for delivering meticulous cleaning, restoration, and finishing services for a wide range of athletic, casual, and formal shoes. Our customers rely on us for quick turnaround, exceptional quality, and a friendly experience, so we need individuals who are honest, disciplined, and eager to exceed performance targets. This is a full‑time position with a regular Monday‑to‑Saturday schedule, offering the chance to develop expertise in a niche service industry while working in a supportive, results‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming shoe orders, verifying model, condition, and any special customer requests.
- Perform thorough cleaning procedures—including pre‑treatment, hand‑scrubbing, machine washing, and spot‑cleaning—using industry‑approved chemicals and equipment.
- Apply appropriate conditioning, polishing, and waterproofing treatments to restore the original appearance and extend the lifespan of each pair.
- Conduct quality‑control checks after each service step, ensuring that color integrity, sole integrity, and overall aesthetics meet company standards.
- Document work performed in the digital tracking system, update order status, and communicate completion times to the front‑desk team.
- Maintain a clean, organized work station and adhere to safety protocols for handling cleaning agents and operating machinery.
- Collaborate with teammates to meet daily and weekly service targets, assisting with peak‑time volume as needed.
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable assistance to customers who drop off or pick up shoes, answering basic product care questions.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management promptly to minimize downtime.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve process efficiency and suggest new techniques or products that could enhance service quality.
Requirements
- Male or female candidates, ages 17‑30.
- Minimum education: High school diploma, vocational school (SMK) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in shoe cleaning, restoration, or a related foot‑care service (required).
- Demonstrated honesty, diligence, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Own a reliable motorbike for commuting to and from the workshop.
- Ability to work under performance targets and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer literacy for order entry and inventory tracking.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle moderate lifting (up to 10 kg).
- Willingness to adhere to health‑ and safety regulations, including proper use of protective gear.
