Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and talented Cook for our bustling Unit Dapur (Dewi Sartika) kitchen. As a key member of our food‑and‑beverage team, you will help deliver consistent, high‑quality dishes to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The position offers a full‑time schedule, Monday through Sunday, from 06:00 to 15:00, and is ideal for candidates who are eager to grow their culinary career in a dynamic, supportive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of menu items, with an emphasis on dishes that require wok (large pan) techniques.
  • Maintain strict adherence to recipes, portion control, and food safety regulations to ensure consistent taste and quality.
  • Manage the workflow in a high‑volume kitchen, coordinating with other cooks, kitchen assistants, and service staff to meet peak‑hour demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist in receiving deliveries, and ensure proper storage of raw materials to minimize waste.
  • Keep the workstation clean, organized, and sanitized at all times, following HACCP and local health guidelines.
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings, offering suggestions for menu improvements, cost‑saving measures, and operational efficiencies.
  • Adapt quickly to shift changes, weekend work, and occasional overtime while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Provide mentorship to junior kitchen staff, sharing cooking techniques, time‑management tips, and best practices for food preparation.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of professional cooking experience, preferably in a busy restaurant or catering environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a wok efficiently and safely.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredient handling, and flavor development.
  • Proven track record of maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of food and work areas.
  • Physical stamina and mental resilience to handle long hours and fast‑paced shifts.
  • Reliable personal transportation (motorcycle or car) and residence within reasonable commuting distance.
  • Flexibility to work all days of the week, including weekends, without restriction.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: honest, personable, consistent, and hardworking.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
