We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cashier – Retail Operations and Customer Service to join our dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in delivering a seamless shopping experience, managing cash transactions, and supporting the overall efficiency of our retail environment. The role is based in a high‑traffic store with a diverse customer base, operating from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00. Our company values continuous improvement and provides a supportive atmosphere where employees can grow and develop their retail expertise.
Responsibilities
- Process all customer purchases accurately using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and upselling where appropriate.
- Maintain a tidy and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise displays are stocked and promotional signage is up‑to‑date.
- Perform end‑of‑day cash reconciliation, prepare deposits, and report any discrepancies to management.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including receiving deliveries, tagging items, and conducting periodic stock counts.
- Support loss‑prevention initiatives by adhering to security protocols and monitoring for suspicious activity.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and supervisors to achieve daily sales targets and overall store performance goals.
- Participate in regular training sessions on product knowledge, POS updates, and customer‑service best practices.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and local labor laws.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Applicants must be 18 years or older; no upper age limit.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience in a cashier or retail customer‑service role.
- Work Availability: Must be able to work full‑time, Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Academic Status: Not currently enrolled in a full‑time college program.
- Key Skills: Strong numerical aptitude, proficiency with cash‑register systems, basic computer literacy, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, a positive attitude, reliability, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 20 kg when needed.
