Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver Pengantar Barang to join our warehouse logistics team. In this role you will be the critical link between our warehouse and customers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods across local and regional routes. The position demands a strong work ethic, excellent time‑management skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Working six days a week, you will be part of a dynamic environment where precision, integrity, and flexibility are essential.
Responsibilities
- Pick up, load, transport, and deliver goods using box trucks, pickup trucks, or personal vehicles (manual or automatic).
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, and report any issues to the fleet manager.
- Plan optimal routes using navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze) while considering traffic patterns, delivery windows, and fuel efficiency.
- Verify shipping documents, bills of lading, and delivery receipts for accuracy; act as a document checker to prevent errors.
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and daily expense reports for reimbursement.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding any delays, special instructions, or emergencies.
- Adhere to all local traffic regulations, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide occasional overtime support, including urgent deliveries and out‑of‑city trips, as required.
- Participate in regular safety briefings and contribute ideas for improving delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- Male candidates, maximum age of 40 years.
- Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 2‑3 years of proven experience in goods delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Valid driver’s license: preferably SIM B1 and SIM A.
- Ability to operate box trucks, small pickups, personal cars, or double‑cab vehicles (both manual and automatic transmissions).
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (oil checks, tire pressure, etc.).
- Familiarity with local and regional delivery areas and proficient use of navigation applications.
- Strong attention to detail when checking shipment documents and handling cash or expense reimbursements.
- Physical ability to load and unload goods safely.
- Good time‑management skills, high integrity, and a willingness to work overtime or travel when urgent needs arise.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions meticulously.
- Clean health record with no hazardous medical conditions that could affect driving safety.
