Introduction
We are seeking an energetic and results‑driven Sales Merchandiser to join our team in the Greater Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) area. This role is pivotal in expanding the reach of our fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) and personal‑care portfolio across a network of retail outlets. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily store visits, product presentation, order taking, and building lasting relationships with retail partners. The position is offered on an outsourcing basis with a fast‑track onboarding schedule.
Responsibilities
- Visit 20‑plus retail stores per day, covering 80–150 outlets within the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell assigned product lines, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and shelf‑space agreements with store managers.
- Maintain optimal product displays and merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines.
- Collect accurate orders, process them promptly, and follow up on delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the Area Supervisor to relay market insights, stock levels, and promotional feedback.
- Work closely with distributor partners on purchase orders (PO), shipment tracking, and inventory replenishment.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics to provide actionable intelligence.
- Prepare daily and weekly activity reports, including sales figures, outlet coverage, and issue logs.
- Represent the company professionally, fostering strong, trust‑based relationships with retailers.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; any major is acceptable.
- At least 2 years of proven sales experience in the FMCG or personal‑care sector.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of 80–150 outlets and conduct up to 20 store visits per day.
- Solid understanding of product display, merchandising principles, and order‑taking processes.
- Own reliable motorized transportation (motorbike or car) and a valid driver’s license.
- Residency within the designated coverage area is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work on an outsourcing contract and to start immediately.
- Additional soft skills: time management, problem‑solving, adaptability, results orientation, and basic analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with e‑commerce platforms and basic market analysis tools is a plus.
