Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Cook Assistant – Kitchen Operations Support to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential to maintaining the smooth flow of food preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. As a key member of the kitchen crew, you will work closely with chefs, line cooks, and service staff to support daily operations in a fast‑paced hotel and restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and line cooks with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, mixers, and slicers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and ensure proper storage of perishable and non‑perishable items according to hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to strict sanitation and food safety protocols (HACCP, local regulations).
- Support the execution of daily menus, buffet setups, and special event catering, adjusting quickly to changing priorities.
- Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service and accurate order fulfillment.
- Document any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages and communicate them to the kitchen supervisor.
- Participate in regular staff briefings, training sessions, and safety drills.
- Adhere to the shift schedule, which includes weekdays, weekends, and public holidays, and demonstrate flexibility to cover peak periods.
- Provide courteous, hospitality‑focused service to guests and internal customers, reinforcing the brand’s reputation for excellence.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum D3/D4 (associate degree) in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field. Candidates with a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) and relevant experience are also considered.
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a similar kitchen assistant or junior cook role. Fresh graduates may be accepted for a “Daily Worker” entry‑level position.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in operating standard kitchen equipment, basic food preparation techniques, and inventory tracking.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork orientation, and a hospitality mindset focused on guest satisfaction.
- Personal Attributes: Professional appearance, disciplined work ethic, honesty, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability: Willingness to work a shift schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00, with flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts.
