Introduction
BNI Life, the insurance arm of one of Indonesia’s leading banking groups, is seeking a dynamic Bankassurance Specialist (BAS) to join its sales force in Surabaya and surrounding BNI branch outlets (Tanjung Perak, Pamekasan, and Sumenep). This role serves as the bridge between BNI Bank’s retail network and BNI Life’s portfolio of individual life‑insurance products, delivering tailored solutions that meet the financial protection needs of bank customers.
As a representative of BNI Life, you will be embedded within the BNI branch environment, leveraging the bank’s trusted brand to generate new business, deepen existing relationships, and contribute to the growth of the bancassurance channel across East Java.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for life‑insurance products within the assigned BNI branch, aligning targets with regional revenue goals.
- Conduct proactive prospecting and lead generation by identifying eligible bank customers and presenting appropriate insurance solutions.
- Deliver compelling product presentations, perform needs‑analysis interviews, and provide customized quotations that address each client’s financial objectives.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects, update the CRM system daily, and report key performance metrics to the regional sales manager.
- Collaborate closely with BNI branch staff—tellers, relationship managers, and loan officers—to integrate insurance offerings into the broader banking service journey.
- Provide post‑sale support, including policy issuance, documentation verification, and coordination with underwriting teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, market trends, and competitor activities within the Indonesian insurance and banking sectors.
- Participate in regular training sessions, workshops, and certification programs offered by BNI Life to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, ensuring compliance with AAJI (Association of Indonesian Financial Services) regulations and internal governance policies.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in any discipline; candidates with an associate degree (D3) or high school (SMA) equivalent are also considered if they meet experience criteria.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven sales experience, preferably in the financial services or insurance industry; 2 years is ideal for SMA candidates.
- Age: 20‑35 years (flexible for fresh graduates with a S1/D3 background).
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
- Demonstrated interest in sales and ability to work independently within a team environment.
- Professional appearance and well‑kept grooming standards.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to the designated branch locations.
- No active disciplinary record with AAJI.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess financial needs and recommend suitable life‑insurance solutions.
