Introduction

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Shopkeeper for our TORCH outlet in Karawang. The ideal candidate will oversee daily store operations, ensure a clean and safe environment, and drive sales through effective merchandising and customer service. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in retail leadership or banking operations who are looking to apply their organizational skills in a dynamic retail setting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a tidy, clean, and safe store environment in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Design and implement store layout and product displays that maximize visibility and encourage impulse purchases.
  • Accurately record daily sales transactions using the point‑of‑sale system and reconcile cash registers at the end of each shift.
  • Handle all stock‑related tasks, including receiving shipments, unpacking, labeling, pricing, and returning defective items.
  • Inspect incoming deliveries for discrepancies or damage, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Report damaged or unsellable inventory, initiate documentation for replacement, and update inventory records.
  • Conduct regular shelf checks to remove expired or excess products, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate internal logistics, such as moving equipment, arranging restocks, and managing back‑room organization.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports covering sales performance, stock levels, shrinkage, and operational expenses.
  • Ensure all purchasing documentation is complete and accurate, facilitating timely re‑orders and vendor negotiations.
  • Utilize the SIFT system for inventory tracking and transaction processing, maintaining data integrity across all platforms.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering repeat business.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, scheduling shifts, conducting performance reviews, and promoting a collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Male candidates only, up to 27 years of age.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably as a Store Leader or in a banking environment.
  • Strong administrative abilities, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members.
  • Demonstrated experience with sales applications and point‑of‑sale systems.
  • Attention to detail for inventory management, pricing, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle stock movement, lifting, and occasional long periods of standing.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to work a standard schedule of 08:00 – 17:00, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or overtime as needed.
