Introduction
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Barista – Ahli Penyajian Kopi Premium to join our bustling café located in Pluit, North Jakarta. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of premium coffee beverages, including espresso, pour‑over, cold brew, and specialty latte art, ensuring consistency and taste excellence.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, performing routine cleaning and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Train, coach, and evaluate junior baristas on brewing techniques, customer interaction, and safety protocols.
- Manage daily inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and consumables, placing orders when stock levels fall below predefined thresholds.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and reconcile the till at the end of each shift with accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback, answer questions about coffee origins, roast profiles, and brewing methods, and suggest menu pairings.
- Contribute ideas for new menu items, seasonal promotions, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work flexible schedules, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional evening shifts, to meet the café’s peak demand periods.
- Uphold a professional appearance, ensuring you are well‑groomed and represent the brand’s image positively.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a barista in a high‑volume café or specialty coffee shop.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, and latte art techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with a diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a genuine passion for coffee quality and sustainability.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- Basic experience in inventory management and cash handling is preferred.
- Professional appearance: good looking, well‑groomed, and presentable.
- Residency in Pluit, North Jakarta, or surrounding areas is highly desirable.
- Educational background: minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
