Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Cook Helper – Kitchen Operations Support to join our dynamic food‑and‑beverage team in Sidoarjo. Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including regular sanitisation of surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Support the plating process by arranging dishes according to presentation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, report low stock, and help with receiving and storing deliveries following FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) principles.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper temperature control, cross‑contamination prevention, and waste segregation.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the kitchen before and after service, including arranging cooking stations and organizing supplies.
- Participate in routine kitchen deep‑cleaning schedules, such as floor scrubbing, equipment degreasing, and grease trap maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with front‑of‑house staff to relay special requests, dietary restrictions, and order modifications.
- Continuously learn and apply basic cooking techniques, kitchen terminology, and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute ideas for improving workflow efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall kitchen performance.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 30 years old.
- Gender: Female (as specified) – all applicants must meet this criterion.
- Residency: Must reside in or near Sidoarjo.
- Experience: Prior experience in the food‑and‑beverage (FnB) sector is a strong plus, though not mandatory.
- Key Skills: Basic cooking abilities, familiarity with kitchen tools, and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Soft Skills: Discipline, strong sense of responsibility, quick learning ability, and excellent communication.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a hot, fast‑moving environment.
