Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, processing cash, credit, and digital transactions with 100 % accuracy.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, answering product questions and recommending suitable items.
- Manage daily cash drawer reconciliation, ensuring that all sales match the recorded totals and reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Maintain a tidy checkout area, including stocking receipts, bags, and promotional materials.
- Assist with inventory control by scanning and logging merchandise, reporting low‑stock items to the floor manager.
- Collaborate with sales associates to resolve pricing issues, promotional discounts, and loyalty program inquiries.
- Participate in regular training sessions on product knowledge, safety procedures, and new POS features.
- Uphold store security protocols, such as monitoring suspicious activity and following loss‑prevention guidelines.
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment by communicating effectively with peers and supervisors.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a retail cashier or in a similar customer‑service role.
- Strong numeracy skills and proficiency with cash handling and POS systems.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a courteous and patient attitude toward all customers.
- High level of discipline, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
