Introduction

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our culinary team as Cook Helpers (CH) – Kitchen Operations Support. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience in the Food & Beverage industry who are eager to develop their kitchen skills in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. As a Cook Helper you will work closely with senior chefs, line cooks, and service staff to ensure that every dish leaves the kitchen on time, prepared to the highest standards of taste and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior cooks with ingredient preparation, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to hygiene and food‑safety protocols at all times.
  • Support the assembly of menu items during service peaks, ensuring accurate plating and garnish.
  • Monitor inventory levels of basic supplies, report shortages, and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, and steamers under supervision, following safety guidelines.
  • Participate in daily briefings and post‑service debriefs to communicate any issues or improvement ideas.
  • Help with receiving deliveries, checking quality, and storing items according to temperature requirements.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on food safety, allergen management, and company standards.
  • Provide courteous assistance to front‑of‑house staff, facilitating smooth communication between the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by being punctual, reliable, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.

Requirements

  • Maximum age: 25 years.
  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent (SLTA).
  • At least 1 year of experience in Food & Beverage, or be a fresh graduate eager to start a culinary career.
  • Minimum height: 160 cm for males, 155 cm for females.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to follow company training programs and adapt to new kitchen technologies.
  • Completed COVID‑19 vaccination (minimum two doses).
  • Basic cooking skills, knowledge of kitchen hygiene, and ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem‑solving.
