Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Inspector – Quality Control to join our fast‑growing food manufacturing team in Bekasi. This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of product safety, quality, and compliance with international food safety systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000:2018, and Halal Assurance. The successful candidate will work closely with production supervisors, laboratory technicians, and senior management to ensure that every batch leaving our facility meets strict regulatory and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily visual inspections of raw materials, in‑process goods, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine sampling and laboratory testing, documenting results in accordance with HACCP and ISO 22000 procedures.
- Identify, record, and investigate non‑conformities, initiating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate root causes.
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) throughout the production line, ensuring temperature, pH, moisture, and other key parameters stay within approved limits.
- Lead a small team of junior inspectors and provide on‑the‑job training on quality standards, documentation practices, and proper use of testing equipment.
- Prepare and present regular quality reports to senior management, highlighting trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with the R&D and production departments to support new product launches and formulation changes, ensuring all quality requirements are addressed from the start.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local and international food safety regulations, and ensure the plant’s compliance with Halal certification requirements.
- Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries promptly.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to SOPs, work instructions, and training programs.
Requirements
- Maximum age of 35 years; both male and female candidates are welcome.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in food manufacturing, preferably within a processed foods environment.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, ISO 22000:2018, and Halal Assurance System standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a small team of quality personnel.
- High integrity, excellent work ethics, and a commitment to maintaining product safety.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, quality management software) for data recording and reporting.
- Willingness to work on a full‑time schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, at our Bekasi facility.
