Introduction

We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Kolektor Lapangan – Penagihan dan Penanganan Piutang. This role is critical to maintaining healthy customer relationships, ensuring timely repayment of credit facilities, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. As a Field Agent, you will work directly within the community, representing Home Credit’s commitment to professionalism, empathy, and financial inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled visits to assigned customers in Dumai and surrounding areas, following Home Credit’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with customers about overdue payments, providing detailed information on outstanding balances and due dates.
  • Assist customers in completing payments on-site, guiding them through Home Credit’s payment channels, including cash, mobile banking, and digital wallets.
  • Document each interaction in the company’s mobile system, capturing payment confirmations, promises to pay, and any disputes.
  • Identify and report patterns of delinquency, offering insights that help the credit risk team refine collection strategies.
  • Maintain the condition and safety of the company‑provided motorbike, ensuring it is ready for daily use.
  • Provide feedback to the regional office regarding local market conditions, customer sentiment, and potential new business opportunities.
  • Uphold Home Credit’s brand image by demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and respect in every customer encounter.

Requirements

  • Education: Open to candidates of any educational background; a high school diploma is the minimum.
  • Age: No upper age limit; we value experience and dedication over age.
  • Gender: All genders are welcome to apply.
  • Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Dumai region, its neighborhoods, and key commercial areas.
  • Transportation: Own a reliable motorbike and hold a valid, active SIM C driving license.
  • Experience (preferred): Prior experience in field collection, debt recovery, or customer service will be considered a strong asset.
  • Documentation (if experienced): Provide a work reference letter, a “paklaring” (employment certificate), or any official document that verifies past collection work.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities; high emotional intelligence to handle sensitive financial discussions.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with smartphones and mobile applications used for reporting and payment processing.
  • Availability: Work schedule is Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak collection periods.
