Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Front Office Receptionist and Customer Service professional to join our hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards of service that define our brand. The ideal candidate will combine a friendly demeanor with meticulous attention to detail, thriving in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment while supporting the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, manage check‑in and check‑out procedures, and issue room keys efficiently.
- Handle telephone inquiries, email correspondence, and online reservations with professionalism and accuracy.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared, clean, and ready for occupancy.
- Maintain up‑to‑date guest profiles, billing information, and reservation logs using the hotel management system.
- Resolve guest complaints and special requests promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction.
- Process cash, credit card, and other payment methods, preparing daily financial reports for the front‑office manager.
- Assist with concierge services, providing recommendations for local attractions, transportation, and dining.
- Adhere to shift schedules (morning, afternoon, night) and ensure a smooth handover between teams.
- Uphold the hotel’s standards of cleanliness, presentation, and security throughout the front office area.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on hospitality best practices and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK, preferably with a focus on hospitality; a degree (S1) in hospitality management is an advantage.
- At least 1 year of experience in front desk, reception, or housekeeping roles within a hotel or similar service environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and nights, from Monday to Saturday.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English or another foreign language is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal traits: friendly, courteous, detail‑oriented, disciplined, and highly responsible.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information promptly.
- Physical requirement: maximum weight of 55 kg to meet uniform and safety standards.
- Not currently enrolled in school or university to ensure full availability for shift work.
- Proficient with basic computer applications and hotel management software.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest service.
