We are seeking a dedicated Mekanik Alat Berat – Pemeliharaan & Perbaikan Mesin to join our growing team of heavy‑equipment professionals. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our fleet of construction and mining machinery operates at peak performance, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity for our clients. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem‑solver with a solid background in heavy‑equipment maintenance, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance on heavy‑equipment units (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes) according to the approved schedule.
- Conduct daily checks and inspections, documenting any anomalies, wear patterns, or safety concerns.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components, hydraulic pumps, valves, and electrical wiring harnesses.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and parts inventory records.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to prioritize repairs and align maintenance activities with operational timelines.
- Provide on‑site technical support during critical operations, ensuring rapid response to breakdowns.
- Recommend upgrades, parts replacements, and process improvements to extend equipment life‑cycle.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a clean, organized work environment.
- Mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge on troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
Requirements
- Male candidates, maximum age of 45 years.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience as a heavy‑equipment mechanic.
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits.
- Completed secondary education (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to follow preventive‑maintenance schedules and perform daily equipment checks.
- Strong attention to detail, high sense of responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy components and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
