Introduction
We are seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Professional Cake Decorator to join our bustling bakery team at Grand Galaxy City, Bekasi. This full‑time role is ideal for creative individuals who love turning ordinary cakes into edible works of art that delight customers and enhance our brand reputation. The successful candidate will work six days a week, from 08:30 to 18:00, including public holidays, and will be offered a one‑year contract with a competitive salary, monthly bonuses, and a THR (religious holiday allowance).
Responsibilities
- Interpret customer design briefs and translate them into precise, visually appealing cake decorations.
- Prepare and bake cake bases, ensuring consistent texture and flavor before decorating.
- Apply fondant, buttercream, royal icing, gum paste, and other media to create smooth surfaces, intricate piping, and three‑dimensional figures.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the sales and production teams to manage order timelines and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Participate in a hands‑on skills test during the recruitment process to demonstrate artistic ability and precision.
- Continuously update design portfolios and suggest new decorative trends that align with market demand.
- Assist in training junior staff or apprentices in basic decorating techniques, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Female candidates, aged 18‑25, unmarried and without children.
- Not currently enrolled in any college program.
- Strong drawing skills and neat handwriting; ability to sketch designs quickly and accurately.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with no prior professional experience are welcome, provided they can demonstrate artistic competence.
- High level of initiative, reliability, attention to detail, and honesty.
- Willingness to work full‑time (6 days/week) and attend mandatory on‑site testing.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle delicate decorative work.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
