We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Professional Pet Groomer & Helper to join our fast‑growing grooming studio. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent high‑school graduates who have a genuine love for animals and a strong desire to learn the art and science of pet grooming. The role is a contractual position with a clear career path that includes on‑the‑job training, mentorship from senior groomers, and the opportunity to develop specialized skills in handling both dogs and cats. Responsibilities
- Assist senior groomers in preparing animals for grooming, including bathing, brushing, and drying.
- Perform basic grooming tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat brushing under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sterilized after each use.
- Handle client interactions with professionalism: greet pet owners, explain services, and answer routine questions.
- Monitor animal behavior, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort, and report any concerns to the lead groomer.
- Follow company protocols for health and safety, including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
- Assist with appointment scheduling and basic record‑keeping of each pet’s grooming history.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions, workshops, and certification programs to enhance grooming techniques.
- Support inventory management by restocking shampoos, conditioners, towels, and other grooming supplies.
- Uphold the studio’s “no drama” culture by maintaining a calm, respectful, and collaborative attitude at all times.
Requirements
- Maximum age of 25 years; candidates older than this will not be considered.
- Must be single (unmarried) at the time of application.
- Minimum education: High School (SMA) or equivalent (SMK/SEDERJAT). Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Genuine passion for working with dogs and cats; no fear of either species.
- Professional appearance: neat, clean, and presentable attire suitable for a grooming environment.
- Strong willingness to learn, take direction, and develop grooming expertise.
- Ability to work a fixed schedule: Monday – Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Emotional maturity: “NO BAPERAN, NO DRAMA” – maintain composure and positivity even during busy periods.
- Readiness to sign a contractual employment agreement.
- Basic communication skills in Indonesian; English is a plus but not required.
