Introduction

PT Mega Finance, a leading financial services provider in Indonesia, is expanding its collections team to strengthen cash flow management and improve customer relationships. We are seeking a motivated and results‑driven individual to join us as a Collection Officer. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely repayment of loan installments, protecting the company’s assets, and maintaining a positive brand reputation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a target‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound phone calls to delinquent borrowers, delivering clear and persuasive payment reminders.
  • Perform field collection visits within assigned territories, adhering to scheduled routes and safety protocols.
  • Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, or restructuring options while preserving the dignity of the customer.
  • Document all interactions accurately in the company’s CRM system, ensuring real‑time updates for supervisory review.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets, reporting progress and any obstacles to the Collection Manager.
  • Identify and flag high‑risk accounts for further investigation or legal action.
  • Collaborate with the credit underwriting team to provide feedback on borrower behavior trends.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, company policies, and ethical collection practices.
  • Assist in preparing periodic collection performance reports and suggest process improvements.
  • Support team initiatives, such as training new hires and participating in community outreach programs that promote financial literacy.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3/S1 preferred.
  • Male candidates only, as specified by the current operational policy.
  • Zero to several years of experience in collections, debt recovery, or related customer‑service roles (experience is a strong plus).
  • Own motor vehicle and a valid SIM C for field assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to convey information persuasively without escalating conflict.
  • Strong negotiation and problem‑solving abilities; capacity to remain calm under pressure and meet strict targets.
  • High level of discipline, honesty, and accountability.
  • Familiarity with the geographical area of assignment, including local traffic patterns and community dynamics.
  • Willingness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, including occasional overtime during peak collection periods.
