Introduction
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and overall guest experience within our hospitality environment. Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper, the successful candidate will coordinate daily housekeeping operations, supervise staff, and ensure that all areas of the property meet our rigorous quality benchmarks. Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in planning, organizing, and supervising all housekeeping activities across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards, documenting findings and initiating corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks to housekeeping staff, and monitor performance to ensure timely completion of duties.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders and track usage to minimize waste while ensuring availability.
- Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, use of equipment, and adherence to health‑and‑safety protocols.
- Collaborate with front‑desk, maintenance, and food & beverage departments to address special requests, emergency situations, and room turnover priorities.
- Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping, providing prompt resolutions and documenting feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on room status, staff productivity, and supply consumption for senior management review.
- Implement sustainability initiatives such as green cleaning products, waste reduction programs, and energy‑saving practices.
- Work under pressure during peak occupancy periods, ensuring that service standards remain consistent and guest satisfaction stays high.
Requirements
- Education: Open to candidates of any academic level; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in housekeeping, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
