Responsibilities
- Assist lead instructors in delivering daily Kumon worksheets for mathematics, English, and Indonesian, monitoring student progress and providing immediate feedback.
- Maintain a structured and supportive classroom atmosphere that aligns with Kumon’s standards and the specific guidelines of the Sukun Raya center.
- Track individual learning records, update progress charts, and communicate milestones to parents and supervisors.
- Prepare teaching materials, arrange workstations, and ensure all learning resources are organized and readily available.
- Adapt instructional strategies quickly based on each student’s learning style, pacing, and challenges.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops to stay current with Kumon methodologies.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English, addressing student queries and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Uphold the center’s policies, including attendance, safety protocols, and the Kumon code of conduct.
- Provide occasional support for administrative tasks such as handling phone inquiries, managing enrollment paperwork, and updating the center’s online portal.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4, preferably in Mathematics, English, or Indonesian language studies.
- Gender: Female (as per center policy).
- Age: 23 to 40 years.
- At least 1 year of experience in tutoring, teaching assistance, or a related educational role.
- Proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Strong sense of belonging and commitment to Kumon’s philosophy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with young learners and their families.
- Adaptability to fast‑changing classroom dynamics and willingness to follow guidance from senior instructors.
- Demonstrated responsibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude toward problem‑solving.
- Ability to adhere strictly to Kumon Sukun Raya’s operational rules and ethical standards.
