We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Barista to join our vibrant coffee shop in North Jakarta. Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders accurately, and answering coffee‑related questions with confidence.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of espresso‑based beverages, including espresso shots, cappuccinos, lattes, and, where applicable, latte art and manual brew methods such as pour‑over and Aeropress.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment—including grinders, espresso machines, steam wands, and brewing devices—ensuring they are calibrated and cleaned daily.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations for cash handling, order totals, and inventory tracking, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain a spotless work station, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, and conduct regular deep‑cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously during peak hours while preserving speed, precision, and product quality.
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and consumables, notifying management when reordering is required.
- Engage in continuous learning about coffee origins, roasting profiles, and emerging brewing trends to enhance guest experiences.
- Uphold a professional and attractive appearance, representing the brand positively at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow, covering shifts, and supporting fellow staff during busy periods.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Gender: Female (as specified for this position).
- Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic ability for cash handling and inventory tasks.
- Hands‑on experience or a strong willingness to learn coffee equipment operation.
- Optional but highly valued: ability to create latte art and execute manual brew techniques.
- Demonstrated multitasking capability and attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and product consistency.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle the demands of a busy café environment.
