Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, including espresso‑based drinks, pour‑over, cold brew, and seasonal specialties, ensuring taste consistency and presentation standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment; perform routine checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other consumables; conduct daily stock counts and communicate reorder requirements to the manager.
- Engage with customers, take orders accurately, provide product recommendations, and handle payment transactions using POS systems.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal of perishable items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours, assisting in food preparation, pastry display, and cleaning duties as needed.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new brewing techniques, menu innovations, and customer service best practices.
- Handle customer feedback constructively, resolve minor complaints on the spot, and forward complex issues to the supervisor.
- Contribute ideas for menu enhancements, promotional events, and community outreach programs that align with the café’s brand.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a barista or in a similar beverage‑service role.
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers of all backgrounds.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Comfortable operating under pressure during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic knowledge of coffee origins, roasting levels, and brewing methods is preferred.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
