Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, ensuring all glassware, tools, and ingredients are in optimal condition.
  • Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner, taking orders, offering recommendations, and answering inquiries about the drink menu.
  • Handle cash and credit‑card transactions accurately, and reconcile the bar’s daily sales reports.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and conduct regular stock checks to minimize waste.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper storage of alcohol and responsible service policies.
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate service during peak periods and special events.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest complaints, turning potential issues into opportunities for positive brand perception.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, tastings, and cocktail competitions to stay current with industry trends.
  • Maintain a professional, well‑groomed appearance in line with the hotel’s branding standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of bartending experience in a hotel, resort, or upscale bar setting.
  • Educational background of at least a Diploma (D3) or higher (D4) in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field.
  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a guest‑oriented mindset and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional night duties.
  • Professional demeanor, disciplined work ethic, and immaculate personal grooming.
  • Sharp problem‑solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to handle guest complaints gracefully.
  • Proficiency in drink presentation, cocktail mixology, and beverage cost control.
