Introduction
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Guru Prakarya (Creative Arts Teacher) for elementary (SD) and middle (MI) school levels. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging Prakarya (craft) lessons that align with the national curriculum and promote creativity, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation.
- Develop age‑appropriate project plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools for students aged 6‑12.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment, ensuring all tools and materials are used responsibly.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers, subject specialists, and school leadership to integrate arts across the broader curriculum.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as school fairs, exhibitions, and community outreach projects that showcase student artwork.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student achievements, challenges, and upcoming projects.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events to stay current with educational best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grading, and classroom inventory.
- Contribute ideas for school improvement initiatives, particularly those that enhance the creative learning environment.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Fine Arts, or a related field; a linear (focused) study track is preferred.
- Maximum age: 28 years.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Demonstrated responsibility, discipline, and honesty in professional settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity in lesson planning and the ability to adapt activities for varying skill levels.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols for handling craft materials and classroom equipment.
- Experience (even minimal) in teaching or tutoring, especially in creative subjects, is desirable.
- Commitment to a full‑time schedule: Monday – Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
