Introduction
PT Prima Logistics Indonesia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Operations Manager – Logistics Division. This senior‑level position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the end‑to‑end logistics network, ensuring that goods move efficiently, safely, and cost‑effectively across our regional and national supply chains. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily logistics operations, including transportation planning, warehouse management, and distribution scheduling.
- Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost per shipment.
- Implement process‑optimization initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous‑improvement methodologies to reduce waste and enhance service quality.
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team of supervisors, coordinators, and drivers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external partners, including freight forwarders, carriers, and third‑party logistics (3PL) providers, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper handling of perishable items, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and customer service departments to align logistics capabilities with market demand and promotional activities.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and environmental sustainability goals throughout all logistics activities.
- Lead emergency response and contingency planning for disruptions such as natural disasters, labor strikes, or transportation delays.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience in a managerial role within logistics, transportation, or food & beverage supply chain operations.
- Age: Minimum 25 years old.
