Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic Manager Sales and Marketing to lead our Freight Forwarding Export‑Import division in West Jakarta. This pivotal role blends strategic sales leadership with hands‑on marketing execution, driving revenue growth for a fast‑moving logistics organization. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between our internal operations and a broad network of international customers, ensuring that our forwarder services meet the highest standards of efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The position offers a full‑time schedule from Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30, and provides a platform for ambitious professionals to shape market presence, develop key accounts, and mentor a growing sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify and qualify high‑potential export/import customers.
  • Develop and customize sales collateral, presentations, and proposals that clearly articulate the value of our freight forwarding solutions.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from initial contact and needs assessment through negotiation, contract finalization, and post‑sale follow‑up.
  • Prepare and present weekly activation reports, highlighting pipeline status, closed deals, and forecasting next‑period targets.
  • Maintain and expand a robust database of export/import clients, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, customs compliance (PPJK), and finance teams to guarantee seamless service delivery.
  • Foster strong, long‑term relationships with business partners, carriers, and customers to enhance loyalty and referral opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets set by senior management.
  • Mentor junior sales staff, sharing best practices in prospecting, negotiation, and customer service.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities to inform strategic adjustments.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (D3 acceptable with relevant experience).
  • Maximum age: 30 years.
  • At least 2 years of proven sales and marketing experience in freight forwarding, export/import, or related logistics services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a wide‑ranging export/import customer database.
  • Strong knowledge of forwarder business models, customs clearance procedures, and PPJK regulations.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) with the ability to produce professional business documents and conduct negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑centric mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting market data, sales trends, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team in a fast‑paced environment.
