Introduction

Amar Farma, a leading pharmaceutical distributor in Indonesia, is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Penanggung Jawab Apoteker to join its growing team. This senior pharmacy role is critical for ensuring that all pharmacy operations comply with national regulations, maintain the highest standards of patient safety, and support the company’s mission of delivering quality medicines across the region. The successful candidate will act as the chief pharmacist responsible for overseeing the preparation of SIP APJ and Aping, managing the pharmacy workforce, and guaranteeing that all pharmaceutical activities align with the strict guidelines set by the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring that all dispensing activities are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain the SIP APJ (Surat Izin Praktik Apoteker) and Aping documentation, coordinating with relevant authorities to secure necessary approvals.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceutical products, while minimizing waste and ensuring proper temperature controls.
  • Conduct regular audits of pharmacy processes, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to uphold quality assurance.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Collaborate closely with the purchasing, logistics, and sales departments to align pharmacy activities with broader business objectives.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of drug regulations, new pharmaceutical products, and industry best practices, and disseminate this information throughout the organization.
  • Ensure that all medication dispensing is performed with strict adherence to ethical standards, honesty, and discipline.
  • Participate in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to the company’s strategic planning for pharmacy services.
  • Respond to any regulatory inspections or inquiries promptly and professionally, providing required documentation and explanations.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 in Pharmacy.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a hospital or retail environment.
  • STRA (Surat Tanda Registrasi Apoteker) with a minimum of 3 years of active registration.
  • Willingness and ability to prepare and manage SIP APJ and Aping applications.
  • Must not be currently employed in the pharmaceutical industry, distribution, or marketing sectors to avoid conflict of interest.
  • Strong ethical foundation: honesty, trustworthiness, and disciplined work habits.
  • Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals, regulators, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in pharmacy management software and basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with flexibility to handle occasional urgent tasks.
  • Soft skills: leadership, problem‑solving, attention to detail, and a customer‑focused mindset.
