Responsibilities
The position combines two key functions within the warehouse: picking and packing. Both roles require strict adherence to standard operating procedures and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Picker Duties
- Monitor incoming orders in the warehouse management system (WMS) and verify order details.
- Print and organize inventory (INV) orders for easy retrieval.
- Locate and retrieve items from storage locations, ensuring the correct SKU, quantity, and condition.
- Perform a quick visual check for damage or discrepancies before moving items to the packing area.
- Maintain a tidy picking zone, restocking high‑velocity items as needed.
- Communicate any stock shortages or issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Packer Duties
- Scan barcodes on each product to confirm accuracy against the printed order.
- Package items using company‑approved materials, following size, weight, and fragility guidelines.
- Label packages clearly and attach any required documentation such as invoices or shipping tags.
- Initiate the driver dispatch process through the system, ensuring the correct order is assigned to the right driver.
- Load packed orders into the driver’s bag or trolley, double‑checking that all items are present.
- Hand over the completed package to the assigned driver and confirm receipt in the system.
- Keep the packing station organized and replenish packing supplies as needed.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, complying with all health and safety regulations, and participating in periodic inventory counts.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 35 years old.
- Gender: Male (as per current operational policy).
- Work experience: No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
- Basic computer literacy to operate the order management and barcode scanning systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift items up to 20 kg for extended periods.
- Good communication skills for coordination with supervisors, drivers, and fellow team members.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude toward problem‑solving.
