Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Public Area Attendant – Facility Services to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is integral to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall guest experience across all public areas of our property, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and recreational facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other high‑traffic public spaces.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns, reporting issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, hand towels, and signage, ensuring that all public areas are well‑equipped at all times.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests with a courteous, service‑oriented attitude, providing accurate information and assistance.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns efficiently, escalating complex matters when necessary while maintaining professionalism.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and front‑desk teams to synchronize cleaning schedules and minimize disruption to guests.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down venues for special events, conferences, or meetings held in public areas.
- Maintain a polished appearance and uphold the company’s dress code and grooming standards.
- Document daily activities, supply usage, and any incidents in the assigned logbook or digital system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a similar public area or hospitality cleaning role.
- Educational background of at least D3/D4 (associate or diploma level) in hospitality, facilities management, or a related field.
- Strong command of spoken and written English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Guest‑oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Capability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional overtime.
- Professional, disciplined, and well‑groomed appearance at all times.
