Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve curriculum for automotive technology courses, covering topics such as engine diagnostics, electric vehicle systems, and advanced workshop safety.
- Conduct practical lab sessions and hands‑on projects, ensuring students gain real‑world experience with modern diagnostic tools, ECU programming, and hybrid powertrain maintenance.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, practical exams, and project evaluations, providing constructive feedback that promotes skill mastery.
- Collaborate with industry partners to keep the curriculum aligned with current automotive trends, emerging technologies, and employer expectations.
- Mentor students on career pathways, apprenticeship opportunities, and professional certification processes (e.g., ASE, B1/B2).
- Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and teaching resources in optimal condition, performing routine inspections and coordinating repairs as needed.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and community outreach programs to promote automotive education.
- Develop and update learning materials, including digital modules, video tutorials, and interactive simulations that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workshop and classroom settings.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in automotive repair, diagnostics, or a related technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to teach or train individuals, preferably in a vocational or technical education setting.
- Proficiency with modern automotive technologies, including OBD‑II systems, electric/hybrid powertrains, and advanced driver‑assistance systems (ADAS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple classes, workshop schedules, and assessment deadlines.
