Responsibilities
- Operate a heavy‑duty B1‑class truck on long‑haul routes, ensuring timely delivery of cargo to designated warehouses and retail outlets.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels, and report any anomalies.
- Identify and troubleshoot common vehicle issues (e.g., engine overheating, tire punctures) to minimize downtime.
- Plan efficient routes using GPS and company‑provided dispatch software, taking into account traffic, road conditions, and delivery windows.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers to confirm loading details, special handling instructions, and any required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and the Ministry of Transportation regulations for commercial drivers.
- Participate in regular safety briefings and attend periodic training on new logistics systems and vehicle technology.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally during on‑site interactions.
- Assist in loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Age: 24 – 40 years old.
- Gender: Male (as stipulated by current company policy).
- Valid Indonesian driving license (SIM) Class B1 with a clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of proven experience driving long‑distance freight trucks.
- Resides in Surabaya Timur or is willing to relocate to the area.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve basic vehicle troubles quickly.
- Strong adaptability to new logistics software and a fast learning curve.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting and customer interaction.
