Introduction
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Tax Accounting Specialist – Corporate Compliance to join our fast‑growing finance team. This position is integral to ensuring that our company remains fully compliant with Indonesian tax regulations while supporting our expanding e‑commerce and import operations. The successful candidate will work closely with cross‑functional teams, handling everything from daily bookkeeping to complex tax filings and import documentation. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and produce timely financial statements using the Akurate accounting software.
- Record and reconcile sales transactions from offline channels and multiple online marketplaces (e‑commerce platforms, marketplace integrations).
- Prepare, review, and submit monthly and annual tax reports, including VAT (PPN), income tax (PPh 21/23/25), and other statutory obligations.
- Manage electronic tax compliance via e‑Faktur and DJP Online, ensuring all filings are error‑free and submitted within deadlines.
- Coordinate import documentation such as PIB (Import Declaration), commercial invoices, and customs duties, working closely with logistics and procurement teams.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations of tax positions.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and import regulations, proactively advising management on potential impacts.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tax and import compliance to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff on tax software usage and compliance best practices.
- Communicate tax matters clearly in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, preparing reports for senior leadership and international stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate) or S1 (Bachelor) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in corporate tax accounting, preferably within an e‑commerce, retail, or import‑export environment.
- Proficiency with Akurate accounting software; experience with other ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax laws (PPN, PPh 21/23/25) and customs procedures for imports.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to produce clear documentation and reports.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning.
