Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Team Leader for the Gudang Pegangsaan warehouse in North Jakarta. This pivotal role oversees the end‑to‑end flow of goods, ensuring that inbound, outbound, inventory, and fleet operations run smoothly, safely, and in strict compliance with our standard operating procedures. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team of warehouse professionals, drive continuous improvement, and uphold the high service standards expected by our clients in the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) and cold‑chain logistics sectors.
Responsibilities
The Team Leader will be responsible for four core functional areas, each critical to the warehouse’s overall performance:
- TL Inbound
- Lead, mentor and supervise the inbound team to ensure accurate receipt of shipments.
- Manage storage occupancy, optimizing space utilization while respecting temperature requirements.
- Resolve issues related to delayed, damaged, or mismatched goods.
- Prepare daily and weekly stock reconciliation reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the central purchasing department to streamline receiving schedules.
- TL Outbound
- Direct the outbound team in picking, packing, and loading processes.
- Oversee replenishment planning to guarantee order fulfilment on time.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies in stock records and outbound documentation.
- Generate outbound performance dashboards and stock movement summaries.
- Collaborate with sales and distribution planners to prioritize high‑value or time‑sensitive orders.
- TL Inventory
- Supervise daily inventory counts, cycle counts, and full physical inventories.
- Compile detailed DCC (Data Capture & Control) reports and analytical insights for senior management.
- Identify and address excesses, shortages, and ageing stock, proposing corrective actions.
- Implement inventory accuracy improvement projects, targeting a minimum of 98% accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and food‑safety standards for perishable goods.
- TL Fleet
- Monitor driver arrival, pre‑cooling, loading, departure, and return processes.
- Coordinate with the Inventory Control Hub to resolve any bottlenecks during loading/unloading.
- Produce daily fleet dispatch reports and track key performance indicators such as on‑time departure.
- Enforce SOPs for temperature control, loading times, and safety procedures.
- Log all operational issues, driver concerns, and asset conditions (e.g., coolers, pallets).
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse assets, ensuring proper maintenance and availability.
Across all functions, the Team Leader will champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork, conducting shift handovers, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 35 years or younger.
- Gender: Male (as specified by the client).
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or FMCG environment.
- Proven ability to manage inbound, outbound, inventory, and fleet operations simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency with Excel and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of motivating diverse teams.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on root‑cause analysis and corrective action.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends and national holidays.
- Willingness to be permanently based at the Gudang Pegangsaan site in North Jakarta.
- Knowledge of cold‑chain logistics, beverage inventory management, and retail distribution is a plus.
