Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Computer and Network Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. This full‑time position is based in a fast‑growing technology firm that serves a diverse client base across multiple industries. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability of computer systems, troubleshooting software issues, and ensuring seamless network connectivity for both internal staff and external customers.
The role offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, and provides an excellent entry point for recent graduates as well as early‑career professionals looking to deepen their technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration, and routine maintenance of operating systems (Windows and Linux) on desktop and laptop computers.
- Diagnose and resolve software application problems, including installation errors, licensing issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Assist in setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting LAN and Wi‑Fi networks, ensuring optimal connectivity and security.
- Provide first‑line technical support to end‑users, responding to tickets, phone calls, and on‑site requests in a timely manner.
- Document all incidents, solutions, and system changes in the company’s knowledge base to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on larger projects such as server migrations, backup strategy implementation, and hardware upgrades.
- Conduct regular system audits, apply patches, and enforce security policies to protect data integrity.
- Participate in periodic training sessions and workshops to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets, and coordinate procurement when necessary.
- Support the IT team during after‑hours on‑call rotations, ensuring minimal downtime for critical services.
Requirements
- Male candidate (as per company policy).
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a diploma (SMK TK/RPL) or a degree (D3/S1) in Information Technology.
- 0–1 year of hands‑on experience in technical support or software engineering; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in installing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (LAN, Wi‑Fi) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, honesty, discipline, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
