Introduction

Our reputable banking institution is seeking a dedicated Branch Teller for the Balikpapan branch. This frontline role is critical for delivering high‑quality, courteous service to our customers while ensuring that all cash handling and transaction processes comply with the bank’s stringent Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The ideal candidate will combine a polished appearance with strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the resilience to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet each customer warmly, verify identification, and assess their banking needs.
  • Process a wide range of transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, bill payments, and foreign exchange, adhering strictly to the bank’s SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawers, reconcile daily balances, and report any discrepancies promptly.
  • Promote bank products and services, such as savings accounts, credit cards, and loan offerings, based on customer eligibility.
  • Provide clear explanations of transaction outcomes, fees, and account information to ensure customer understanding.
  • Identify opportunities to cross‑sell and upsell, while respecting the customer’s preferences and privacy.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Ensure the branch environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with security and anti‑fraud measures.
  • Collaborate with fellow tellers and branch managers to achieve daily performance targets and maintain service excellence.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on new banking products, regulatory changes, and technological tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • Age: 29 years or younger.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in a customer‑service or banking environment.
  • Polished, neat, and professional appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; additional language abilities are a plus.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated honesty, discipline, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Preference given to candidates residing in or near Pati, though all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Core competencies: Financial transaction handling, communication etiquette, ethical service delivery, and problem‑solving.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, Monday through Sunday, from 08:45 to 20:00.
