Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Chef (Asisten Koki) to join our dynamic kitchen team at Solo Square. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning, ensuring that all items are ready for the cook’s station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by regularly sanitizing countertops, cutting boards, and cooking utensils in accordance with food safety standards.
- Support the kitchen team in setting up and breaking down stations before and after service, including the proper storage of perishable items.
- Follow detailed instructions from the Head Cook or Kitchen Leader, learning new cooking techniques and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels of basic pantry items and notify the supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols, including proper handling of knives, hot equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
- Participate in daily briefings and contribute ideas for improving workflow efficiency and food quality.
- Assist in basic plating and garnish preparation under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a focus on Tata Boga (Culinary Arts) is strongly preferred.
- Age: Applicants up to 30 years old are encouraged to apply.

- Experience: No prior professional kitchen experience required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and steamers safely.
