We are currently seeking dedicated Operator Mesin Jahit (Production Sewing Operator) to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of production, ensuring that every garment meets our stringent quality standards while adhering to tight delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines (lock‑stitch, over‑lock, and button‑hole) to assemble garment components according to technical specifications and work orders.
- Inspect fabrics and trims for defects before and after sewing, reporting any irregularities to the Quality Control supervisor.
- Set up machine parameters such as thread tension, stitch length, and needle type for each new product run, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on sewing machines, including oiling, cleaning, and needle changes, to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate closely with pattern makers, cutting department, and finishing teams to coordinate workflow and meet production targets.
- Maintain accurate production logs, record the quantity of pieces completed, and document any machine adjustments made during the shift.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following lock‑out/tag‑out procedures when necessary.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, suggesting process enhancements that increase efficiency or reduce waste.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers, providing updates on progress and flagging potential bottlenecks.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Prior experience operating sewing machines is preferred, though motivated candidates with a strong willingness to learn are welcome.
- Demonstrated ability to follow technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Strong initiative, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle light lifting of fabric rolls and garment pieces.
- Flexibility to work the scheduled shift: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
